Sam Trickett won the Partouche main event

Sam Trickett (born on 2 July 1986 in East RetfordUnited Kingdom) is a professional poker player. He started playing poker in 2005 after suffering a knee injury that ended his career as a semi-professional soccer player. Sam soon became a regular in poker events in Sheffield. He started playing also online in $10 Sit ‘n’ Go’s. In 2008, Trickett played at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Vegas and finished fourth in the $5,000 No Limit event for $245,000. He won Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT) Luton Main Event in 2008 taking $210,000 in prize money. He is considered to be one of the best UK high stakes cash games players.
Since March, 2010, Trickett is sponsored by Titan Poker.
Trickett has cashed 6 times in the 41st World Series of Poker: $ 141,168 for 7th place in Event #52 $25,000 No Limit Hold'em - Six Handed, $25,838 for 17th place in Event #45 $1,500 No Limit Hold'em, $5,620 for 22nd place in Event #39 $ 1,500 No Limit Hold'em - Shootout, $505,725 for 2nd place in Event #17 $5,000 No Limit Hold'em, $11,694 for 40th place in Event #11 $1,500 No Limit Hold'em,$3,792 for 100th place in Event #8 $1,500 No Limit Hold'em.
In late 2010 Trickett, alongside the likes of Tom Dwan, John Juanda and Phil Ivey, took part in a series of high stakes cash games in Macau featuring a number of wealthy Chinese businessmen. In an interview in the January 2011 issue of Bluff Europe magazine Trickett revealed that he won approximately £1m in these games and that he is currently learning Mandarin. 

According to the ESPN Poker, Sam Trickett won at the Partouche Main event, this 25 y/o professional poker player defeated the a tough table and he earned the million euro prizes, this was Trickett's third seven-figure score of 2011.
